World War II was a global conflict that was so significant, it shaped the world into what we know it to be today. Have a look at the images below. Surely, it becomes obvious that such a tragic global event was bound to change the world.

Over the next few lessons, you will learn about this great war in various components. Today's lesson is an introduction into World War II. The following activities should be completed within an hour.
Causes of WWII, Reasons Australians enlisted and Where Australians fought
Activity 1
Note: For this lesson, you will need access to a computer or laptop with access to the internet. You will also need access to a printer as well as some coloured pencils or pens.
Your teacher will divide you into groups of five. Your task for today is to fill in the worksheet attached bellow. The worksheet will require you to work with your group in order to cover the required information.
- The first activity on the work sheet is to research and come up with five causes of WWII.
- Then, you are to research and find five reasons why Australian's enlisted into the war.
- Finally, as a group, using the map given, research and shade/ label the different areas in the world where Australians fought in the war.
